Day four Daytona 2013 OLOA in the books and it's a BIG Book.

What a great place to be. Daytona on a weekday and racing on the track, who could ask for anything better automotive related in the world?

We got to the track early and had no issues, even washed "White Trash" so she would look good for the cameras. Even though we used glass cleaner and a dirty rag, she looks pretty good for poor white trash. After checking lugs and upping air pressures for the high banks at Daytona we were thought set to go out.

We pull out to the staging area on pit lane and just before I have to slip my helmet on to go out I remember we had not drained the oil separator. Panic mode goes into play and Herman runs back to get towels to catch and clean up the oil from us draining it. If that doesn't get your adrenalin going before going out on track running 167.8 mph on the track sure will. Yes that's right poor white trash and all her glory did us proud, even though I had yet another oops. Well before anyone says anything, yes I had a slight issue in the Bus Stop on the backstretch and did spin up right next to the tire wall. But no issues other than loosing a little time again. Our first session with the spin we finished 32nd overall and tried to learn from my mistake, don't get on the throttle to hard when cutting across the rumble strips.

During the lunch break between sessions we had a chance to go out on track for a few paced laps with the One Lap BMWs and Herman got to check out the sensational feeling of the high banks while I took a few pictures.

Next comes session two and let me tell you one word WOW.......

We got a combined time from a dead stop 6 minutes and 38 seconds in three hot laps. Not too shabby for a track I had only seen on TV or standing on top top of an RV watching the Rolex 24

This session also included a pass of a Z06 on the high banks just for good measure.
