2014 Day 7 GingerMan Raceway

Rain and wind

Rain and wind with more wind.

Welcome to Michigan.

As the first cars pull out in the pouring rain everyone is doing their best just to stay on track. We go oit as the rain stopped but oir float pontoons for tires had no grip and yet another spin, this time in turn 3 and more points to be lost.

As the first session continues the rain slacks off and the track starts to dry as the back of the pack gets dry track their times are a lot faster than the front runners making for a mass switch up in the points run. The front runners were in the pouring rain and where we are running on wet and the last half of the field got to run in the dry.  That's just how it rolls with weather in One Lap, some tomes you win and sometimes you loose.

Results for GingerMan Raceway

Session 1- 3rd in class and 45 overall. (Spin on lap lap in turn three. Had to be the slickest track in the wet I have ever seen! The pavement had polished riverstone in it.)

Session 2- 3rd in class and 25th overall

Both session started in the wet but ended in the dry. It was definitely a day for AWD, and I'm sure the beards helped somehow.
